This is a smaller version of OUT OF THE BLUE band will be performing for the Hellenic community of the central coast, they are having a Taverna day in front of the water, just beautiful with mezedes, bbq octapus etc, yum. Greek time.

Our next function is the ‘end-of-month Luncheon’ next Saturday 28th September, 1pm it will take place at 91 Chittaway Rd Chittaway.

There will be a variety of home-made salads 2 kinds of spit-roast meat ‘kondosouvli’, ‘mezethes’ (entrees) sweets and coffee for just $10. Don’t forget BYO drinks. Most people are remembering to bring their own drinks.

Next month don’t forget, is our ‘Taverna’ day! It will be held on Sunday, 20th October at 12 noon, overlooking the Gosford waterfront at1st Gosford Sea Scouts Hall, Masons Pd. Gosford (after the sailing Club) The cost remains the same as last year just $35 adults, and children and students free! There will be live music and dancing for everyone. The food will be a variety of salads, ‘mezethes’, BBQ octopus, calamari, fish, sweets and coffee. All Greek wine (including a little ouzo) soft drinks etc are included in the $35 entry! Please ring 4385 3059 and book to avoid disappointment as many groups have already booked in. The ‘Taverna’ will take you back to a traditional celebration in Greece.

The Saturday after the Taverna on 26th October, at our ‘end-of-month Luncheon’ we will celebrate the ‘OHI’ day, the NO day when the Greek people said NO to the fascist army of Mussolini on 28th October 1941. Another reminder will be sent next month.
